How You Can Help
At Refurb Hope, you’re not pigeon-holed into a monetary donation as a means of helping our cause. We have a few great ways that you can actually help us reach our goal of bringing technology to youth in need!
Donate your broken Laptop!
Yeah, you read that right! We want your old broken laptop, but there are some criteria for what you donate! We are looking for laptops that are 7 years old or newer, Windows only, and no Chromebooks. 7-year-old laptops ensure that we can still give students computers that function well, and run the latest operating system and applications.
Donate an old Desktop
Some applications call for a desktop instead of a laptop. And yeah, we refurbish those too! If you’ve got an old desktop (again fitting that 7 years old or newer criteria). Desktops can be more powerful for certain applications, and if the student doesn’t have a need to be mobile, a desktop can be a great option!
Donate Peripherals
Keyboards, mice, headsets, you name it, we can use it! You can even donate software if you’d like. Peripherals for the purpose of this mission should all be new, and unused, or “open box” meaning they’ve been opened, inspected, turned on, and not used afterwards for any extended length of time.
Donate Monetarily
If you have the means to donate monetarily we of course appreciate that as well. All donations are tax-deductible and go towards purchasing parts to refurbish broken or old PCs that need new software, and parts.
